How Many Bricks?

The number of bricks needed to complete a building or project will vary depending on a number of factors including:

Brick Type

Size of Building

Total area of all openings (windows, doors etc)

Style of building

As a general guide only, there are 48 standard sized bricks to a square metre of cladding or 24 double sized (Presto) bricks. To determine the number of bricks required for your building or project, simply multiply the area of cladding required by 48 or 24 (depending on the choice of brick) and then add another 5%. This allows for cutting of bricks and minimal product quality variance you get with clay bricks.

If you require more information please contact us to figure out exactly how many bricks you will need for your specific project. This is a free service.

How much will it cost

Brick bricks vary in cost depending on:

Brick Type

Location of purchase (as cost of freight and proximity to supply varies).

WHY CONCRETE OR CLAY ROOF TILES?

Considering the invaluable and prominent role they play, roof tiles are a surprisingly affordable choice; installing a roof constitutes as little as 5% of the cost of your home, slightly less for concrete, slightly more for terracotta.

Some of the benefits of a Monier roof are:

RUSTPROOF:
Monier tiles will NEVER rust

LOW MAINTENANCE:

Monier Roof tiles require very low maintenance unlike many other roofing materials.

THE QUIETEST ROOFING MATERIAL:
No other roofing material keeps out as much noise

ADD VALUE:
A Monier roof will add to the resale value of your home.

NATURAL INSULATION:
Brick and tile is a natural insulator and will keep a home warm in Winter and cool in Summer.

LESS CONDENSATION RISK
A Monier roof will prevent the formation of harmful condensation unlike the danger of serious damage from condensed water vapour which is heightened by the use of sheet metal roofing or metal tiles.
